A Cleaner City: Courtesy "Clean Kerala" Initiative?
I was going to Kochi after around 5 months, and one visible change was about the cleanliness. The city appeared to be a lot cleaner. In these 5 months, Chickun Guniya had come and gone, and the Clean Kerala initiative had resumed (after Chickun Guniya). And Malayala Manorama had started its own campaign on Shuchithva Keralam. Anyways, things appear to have changed a bit at least.

To keep it that way, citizens must take initiative too.
I only hope people become sensible in Bangalore too :)
Cool! I just hope that they do focus on parts like Fort Kochi and Kaloor as well in addition to teh usual tourist spots.

Good, you have seen one place in Kochi which is clean. If you walk the same walkway (around 2km) towards high court jetty, you can see a bridge which is over the sewage coming from Ernakulam Market. You should have stood there for a minute before writing this. Another point to note here is that Ernakulam Market (behind Broadway) is screwed!
When government talk about cleanliness, it should not only happen in selected cities, but also in rural area, where the kerala's beauty still "exist".
